Community Group FAQ
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
Community Groups are regular gatherings (usually on a weeknight) designed to connect you with others.
Community Groups are an integral part of what we do. Sunday services are merely a snapshot of the many different people that attend our church. We believe that spending time in community with each other will strengthen our relationship with God AND inspire a love for others. This isn't accomplished by sitting in rows on a Sunday, it's accomplished by gathering in circles with each other. That's why we say circles are better than rows.
IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED FOR ANY GROUPS?
Yes. Sort of. It depends on the Community Group and the particular situation of the individual. For example, we provide childcare for MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) because it is a group that specifically focuses on mother's with young children.
If you have kids and that's the one thing from holding you back from attending a Community Group, we want to help. For more details on how we would like to help, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW OFTEN DO COMMUNITY GROUPS MEET?
It varies based on the group.
WHAT GOES ON AT A GROUP MEETING?
Our Groups can be divided in four categories:
Community Life – groups based on life stage.
Community Interest – groups based around a common interest, hobby, or topic.
Community Service – groups based around service projects or assistance.
Community Support – groups for those in recovery or who have experienced loss
Each and every group has different focus and feel toward what they do.
